As an anthropologist and designer, Kabira starts her design work where an anthropologist would start their work: with you. How do you see yourself living, working, & playing in and with your new design environment? That question drives our work together.

Kabira Cadogan A published scholar, designer, and poet, Kabira finds that synergy between the creative and the intellectual is invaluable to her design process. Doctoral study in Cultural Anthropology has elucidated the pervasive influence that built environments have on human identity, meaning making, and behavior. Her professional scholarly training enables careful research of period styles pertinent to both modern and historic home design and renovation. Design honors have included the top fellowship award for graduate study at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and interior design work featured in magazines and manufacturers’ promotional literature.
Our first consultation is complimentary; fees for the next phase will be reimbursed should you decide to see your project through to completion with tbb Design & Build.
